Terms and Conditions of Sale for Purchases on the Cornélius Editions Online Store

ART. 1 – General Provisions

1.1. Scope
These Terms and Conditions of Sale contractually bind our publishing house and its customers for all purchases made through Cornélius Editions. In the event of modifications to these Terms and Conditions of Sale, the version in effect at the time of your order validation will apply.

1.2. In Case of Disputes
These Terms and Conditions of Sale, including all clauses herein, are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute regarding the interpretation or execution of these Terms and Conditions of Sale, we favor an amicable resolution between the parties. If an amicable agreement cannot be reached, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts.

ART. 2 – Orders

Orders can be placed:

• Online via our store at http://cornelius.fr

• By email at gilbert@cornelius.fr. In the case of an order by email, a payment link and order summary will be sent to you. No book or item will be shipped before payment is received.

ART. 3 – Product Availability

Product availability applies for the duration they are listed online, subject to stock limitations (except for specified exceptions). In the event of unavailability or delay in delivery, customers will be notified by email within 30 days.

If payment has already been made, you may choose to cancel your order (which will then be fully refunded) or accept an extension of the delivery time. This response must be sent by email within 30 days of receiving the notification from Cornélius Editions regarding delay or product unavailability. Refunds will be processed via PayPal or credit card (Stripe platform) directly to the account used for the purchase.

ART. 4 – Prices and Payment Terms

4.1. Prices
Book prices are those listed on our online store, in euros, all taxes included, subject to errors. Cornélius Editions reserves the right to change prices at any time. The price applicable to your order is the one in effect at the time of order validation. Books are sold in compliance with applicable laws, in particular the French Lang Law on fixed book prices. For deliveries outside mainland France, any customs duties or local taxes are the customer’s responsibility.

4.2. Shipping Fees
For books only, unless otherwise indicated on the product page, shipping fees are charged at a flat rate; refer to the amount displayed during order confirmation. Shipping costs for free items are included in the order or provided at no extra charge.

4.3. Payment Methods
Cornélius Editions offers two payment options:

• Credit card via Stripe (secure SSL encryption). Fill in the provided form with your personal and card details (number, verification code, expiration date).

• Via PayPal, ensuring secure payment (SSL encrypted). Fill in the provided form with your personal and card details.

Cash payments are not accepted. Orders paid in cash will neither be processed nor refunded in case of loss or theft.

4.4. Delivery
Orders are delivered to the address provided. Delivery timeframes:

• Mainland France: within 60 days from the order date

• Europe: within 60 days

• Other destinations: within 60 days

Cornélius Editions is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft during shipment.

ART. 5 – Claims

For claims regarding our products, contact us at gilbert@cornelius.fr. Orders concern only the books or items purchased; no claims can be made regarding any gifts included.

ART. 6 – Responsibilities

Cornélius Editions cannot be held responsible for technical malfunctions or misuse of information (e.g., IT failures). If order data is not received or is unreadable, for any reason (connection issues, etc.), Cornélius Editions is not liable. Our books comply with French law; Cornélius Editions cannot be held responsible if books ordered abroad do not comply with local legislation.

ART. 7 – Data Protection

Information requested on our website is confidential and necessary to process your orders. We do not store or share your data with third parties. Your email will not be used for advertising. Our online store is not linked to analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Facebook Analytics. Only anonymous statistical data provided by Big Cartel is shared, including monthly order numbers, conversion rate, and revenue.
